A lot of changes have taken place here at School Webmasters the past few months. We've developed new and improved software to allow us more flexiblilty to create and maintain our school's Web sites. This meant converting or redesigning every one of our school's sites and moving them to new servers! It's done and everyone is thrilled with the much faster load times and the added enhancements we are now able to offer. We've also started a School Webmasters blog so we can share tips and information about school Web sites with others, so check it out! Some of those new services include:
- Interactive Calendars- helps schools improve how they reach out to parents and the community. Site visitors can sign up for email reminders about upcoming events, register for events, and stay better informed. We can create custom calendars for sports, staff development, PTO, and much more. - WebStore - an easy, convenient way for students and parents to pay for services online (without the hassle or expense of setting up a merchant account). Our schools are using their online WebStores to pay for meal payments, athletic and club fees, after-school programs, school apparel, donations/fundraisers, graduation/commencement fees, yearbooks, summer school, class fees, and school tax credits--creating more revenue for the school and making it more convenient for parents and students.
- SchoolIntranet - a district-wide Intranet provide a central location where the entire faculty and staff can communicate and stay informed. This Web-based secure site helps administrators keep everyone involved and update privileges can be provided to key personnel. Great for staff meetings, Governing Board information, employee forms, employee related calendars, internal job postings, salary schedules, benefit forms, department news, human resource information, etc. Affordable, secure, and convenient.
